Is a sudden realisation again. *as if it never happens*

Two weeks till finals. And I still thought it was 3! And thus dear readers, do anticipate a very quiet blog till finals is over. ='( My study plan is all set up and now it only takes the motivation and effort to prepare for finals.

And so I'm counting the days till I can finally clear all the awful subjects I'm taking this semester off my table and then, hello holidays it is!!! Oh, even typing the word gives so much satisfaction.

Happy Birthday to -@NiDe-

Kinda late for this post eyh... Hahaha.. This year's birthday was sorta a downturn to last year's one. Since the family ain't in town, I was practically alone during the countdown. However, I am thankful that I have beautiful wonderful friends who were there for me on my special day.

And this year's birthday was pretty plain. It wasn't a special one day birthday splurge like some people had. I spent my birthday going from school to school simply being a messenger. Luckily, I had Ronnie being my date around Kuching and of course with him around, my day was cheerful. =)

After accomplishing the messenger task, had lunch with the debating gang, Ronnie, Kevin, Adrien, Kasun, Rafie and Ayu at Toms. It was my first time there.

I regretted not ordering the lasagna as it was out of this world. Super duper yummy loooo!!! Instead I ordered their carbonara which was so so.... And their teriyaki chicken makes me miss barbeque!!!

After lunch, I did not had much time to lose. I had a series of meetings and soon later, I had to go home and prepare to go Fany's house to prepare for our presentation the next day. So much for a happy birthday huh.

On my way there, I realised I haven't ate the traditional red egg yet. Called Kwee to boil some for me and soon as I arrived I was officially 20 according to the chinese calender as I indulged in my two prosperous coloured eggs. =P

Hahah.. And since I didn't had any celebration, I improvised my own little cake. With leftover carrot cake and also a small candle stand, I had my little party with my friends.

Sounds sad hoorr.. Hahaha.. No comment on that.

It was time to get back to work and summore chores came up. I was to pick up my aunt in the airport. I left after, and there was so much going through my mind. How I wish I had a better birthday, how I wish my life was not so much of work.

However, it all changed.

I had the shock of my life as Kwee, Fany and Nacy came out with a birthday cake when I went back. But wait, thats not it. 3 crazy people (Wee Chung, Adrien and Kasun) accompanied by Deidre came running from the back and WHACK!!! My face!!! O.O

I came to learn that all of them had this planned last minute as the first few initial plans failed because of my busy busy schedule that day. But I guess, this was a good one. Making me feel as if nothings gonna happen, but hit me back straight in the face in the end. Nice. =P

It was time for a late dinner as some of us hadn't had dinner yet. And oh my, a Monday night after 10pm, it's just not that easy to find somewhere to eat.

We finally ended up in B.O.P. Cafe.

I ate Fried Calamari and Lamp Chop. Nice I must say. Worth the money. Oh yea, about the presentation, we ditched the practice and went home to get an early rest.

We agreed that we would meet half an hour earlier the next day before our presentation but who knew the alarm rang in the whole of Swinburne, and by the time I knew it, it was a ridiculous fire drill timed wrongly. Oh wells, so much for practice.

And since I didn't have a proper meal to celebrate my birthday, I decided to do a small one in Kado. Finally!!!

Finally I can eat their famous burger and fried calamari. I'm super satisfied!!! It does certainly live up to its standard.

Plus to Lilian and Vincent, thanks for the mini cake and gift yea!!! =)

Now its time to announced the "winners" for the prestigious look-forward by countdown by all who knows it! I'm serious I think some have been living by the clock. Hahaha...

I Can't Believe It's That Soon

It would be approximately 2 days till my birthday as of now.

And the thing is, I didn't even realise that the birthday part is coming that soon till I saw the first pre birthday wish in Facebook.

Maybe this was caused by an overdose of assignments and tests. And guess what, finals is in 3 week times. This week, just completed the OM presentation and was so fugged up that I screw it up and just yesterday, I submitted a 3000++ words written assignment. Now, I have to prepare for another presentation in a span of 3 days and next Saturday, another test it is for me. Then when I'm over all that, it's time to switch the brain into Finals mode.

And where does the birthday part slip in? Seriously. Somehow, the spirit of birthday celebrations is not here anymore. But I guess it will definitely take an explosion to turn things around. Oh wells, so much for a great 19.

Something random, its been a while since I put my makeup face on. Thanks to dear Shiela who recommended me a better eyeliner. =)

Btw, Happy Halloween! Gonna celebrate with the CPA committee tonight. =)

Give Thanks

Taking a bit of a time off from my assignment. I was staring at my assignment paper that I got back on Friday. Before this, I felt nothing, but then looking at the bold red C in front of my face, I suddenly thought of God.

Funny, this guilty Christian I am. I admit myself to be a bad follower of Christ. Yes, I do abide by the basic principles of Christ, but the rest of the practicing part is somewhat idle. I'm not sure since who knows when, prayer has been lacking in my life, what to say devotion and also church attendance. Sigh. This brings me back to my main point. I feel tremendously guilty as I constantly seek His guidance in times of need. And when I don't need Him anymore, I just abandon Him.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Paul writes, "In everything give thanks for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

I realise I sometimes even forget to give thanks. Even at the good and bad times. I abandon Him. And looking back at the Credit I got for my OM essay, giving thanks to the Lord is the best thing to do. Thank Him as you've didn't fail and thank Him as He is giving us a trial to go through. To make us work harder in the future.

God has a plan drafted for us, it is only men that chooses the path to walk, being it good or bad. And in my own case, do I choose to acknowledge the decision God has laid down for me. Do I choose to sulk over it? Or do I choose to strive for something more?

Today, I got my marks for Law. I got a 22/25. At first I was like, OMG, thank God! That's pretty great! And when I started to hear news spreading, some had 23, some even had 25!! And it got me thinking? Where did I go wrong?? And now I know, give thanks. As we can't have everything we want but God will definitely provide whenever necessary.

God is LOVE. =)

I Miss You!

I miss my blog!!! Sho sho much!!! I vowed to myself that I would NOT sleep till this blog is updated.

Nothing much major to update on. But there are some itsy bitsy parts of my life coming together. =P

Here's some random pics taken at the most random times. Enjoy!

Nancy and I after 5 hours of studying. O.O Seriously, we did. I'm happy we did it. Gave me better confidence in the test.

This was when Kwee, Fany and I indulged in our fav butter chicken rice at Tun Jugah. It was Deepavali and I happen to witnessed this magnicifient kolam created by some SeGi students in conjunction with Deepavali. And fyi, its huge.

Left to right: Shariman, Nacy, Jacob and Chloe.

Part of the committee for CPAASC. My new happy family. Always happy to be with them!!! =D

And something I whipped up when I was super hungry! Simple but yet nice ~~ Pasta with Bacon. Gonna cook it real soon!

That's about it. Finals timetable is out and yet I have so much to do before revision. God help me!

Where Am I?

I got my FIS (accounting) results back today.

Fuggin 13.5/20. Sad.

Sometimes I wonder, whether or not I'm taking the right course. Honestly, I don't have a flair for accounting but somehow in the future, I can only see the word ACCOUNTING written all over it.

These are times where I feel my efforts are useless or maybe, I'm just not working hard enough and even not setting my priorities right. Sigh... When I got my results, I was recalling the day I got my finals result last sem. I don't want that to happen again!!! A Credit for Accounting? It's pathetic you know! Seeing that you're an accounting student, but your worst subject is the core. How la lidat??? Sigh!!!

Neways, finally went to Frienz and Family which Fany recommeded to me while I was at Miri.

I ordered:-

Orlando Pizza (pepperoni) *shared* - RM16.90 - A bit salty... If it was less salty, it would have been nice.
Mushroom Soup - RM5.00 - A bit too sweet than the usual one. I still prefet 175's and Chef at Home's
Beer Bater Fish & Chips - RM9.90 - This was surprisingly nice. I love the bater in fact. Don't be fooled by its name though, I can't even taste a stench of beer! So hurra...

Overall, not bad ler... Can go try. The portion is reasonable to it's price.

LOL. My post very funny... First I was sad, then now I sound happy. Mixed feelings... Kla, wanna continue my work liaw... Happy gotten the chance to blog. =DD

Checkered is the BOMB!

Here you go peeps! I promised you a post on the clothes I bought in Miri. Hehehe... Oh, have I mentioned, Law test is over! Hurray! However, summore tests to go!

This trip I aimed checkered shirts as to the greatest dismay, I don't even own one up to now! I know, how slow can I be in the name of fashion???

I searched high and low for the perfect one, but too bad I did not really succeed in getting the perfect one. At least I got something that was close.

Wave-like checkered. RM60

I was really in a big dilemma on whether or not I should get this one. I guess the belt did do some justifications.

Actually the biggest dilemma was whether or not it made my butt look big, thus, the sideway picture. But but, I like this one more than the first one!!!

Last one...

Cardigan with shirt. RM52

I really don't know whether or not I matched the outfit correctly... Just merely experimenting... My first cardigan matched with shirt. So high school-ish... Hehehe...

These were the only clothes that I bought. The rest were odds and ends.... LOL... Slippers, purses, keychains....

There you have it! =) Exclusive footage of my outfits...
